The Siebel Institute of Technology, the World Brewing Academy, and our contributing partners are pleased to offer the most generous scholarship program of any international brewing school. Our combined scholarships total over $40,000, opening educational opportunities to the lucky recipients of these offerings.
World Brewing Academy Associate Program Scholarship
The World Brewing Academy is providing fully paid tuition (valued at over $9,000) in the three web-based training modules that form our WBA Associate Program. The scholarship recipient may take these three modules through the 2013 and 2014 course sessions.
All applicants must meet the regular admission requirements for this course. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of financial and technical need of both the applicant and the brewery. The Scholarship Committee reserves the right to not award this Scholarship.
American Homebrewers Association Lallemand Scholarship
Lallemand, the makers of Danstar dry brewing yeast, Lalvin dry wine yeast and Servomyces yeast nutrient, is once again proud to sponsor the 13th Annual Lallemand Scholarship for the famous web-based WBA Concise Course in Brewing Technology (Aug, 18th - Nov, 17th 2013 ).
This course (valued at $ 3,700) will provide students with comprehensive knowledge of the brewing process, the dynamics of brewery operations, and socioeconomic issues affecting the industry. The Concise Course covers the full range of technical topics from raw materials through brewing, fermentation, maturation, filtration & packaging. Whether you are considering a career in professional brewing or you are simply looking to maximize your home brewing skills, this will be the experience of a lifetime. AB Vickers Scholarship
AB Vickers, a world leader in clarification and stabilization products for the brewing industry, has generously offered to provide a fully paid scholarship towards tuition in our web-based World Brewing Academy Concise Course in Brewing Technology (Aug, 18th - Nov, 17th 2013 ).

Scholarship Application Procedures
- The deadline for submission of this application is June 28, 2013. All applications must be sent in print form by mail or courier to arrive by the deadline date.
- We will not accept scholarship applications sent via fax or email.
- Do not send your application using the US Postal Service Next Day Service. They tend to try to deliver after our normal business hours. Our office is open Mon-Fri from 9am to 5pm.
- If you send your package by courier, please use a reputable courier such as UPS, DHL or FedEx.
- The scholarship applicant is responsible for assuring delivery to our offices by the cut-off date and time. To assure delivery, you should use a courier that allows you to track the delivery of your package via the internet. Most courier companies offer this service.
- Due to the large volume of applications we receive, please do not contact us to inquire as to whether we have received your application. Your courier company should be able to provide delivery confirmation, whereas conventional mail will not assure deliver by the cut-off date.
Applicants for the AB Vickers scholarship should complete and attach the regular application for admission for the 2013 World Brewing Academy Concise Course (Aug, 18th - Nov, 17th 2013 ). A deposit is not required.
Applicants must provide a narrative on the following topics:
1. Indicate your career expectations in the brewing industry and how you hope to further these expectations by attending this course.
2. Describe your current position and provide additional information regarding your training and experience in the field of brewing.
A panel of World Brewing Academy faculty members will select the recipient for the AB Vickers scholarship based on the merits of the submissions received from all qualifying applicants.

Beer Barons of Milwaukee Pro Brewer Scholarship Fund
This scholarship will provide full tuition for the World Brewing Academy Concise Course in Brewing Technology or any one of the three modules from the WBA Associate in Brewing Technology Program conducted at Siebel Institute in Chicago. The scholarship may also be applied to the equivalent web-based classes offered by Siebel. The amount of the scholarship will be equal to the tuition of the class selected by the applicant if a lower cost course is chosen.
The Concise Course in Brewing Technology is an intensive program that covers every topic critical to successful brewery operations. The program is designed for brewers pursuing wider knowledge of professional brewing standards and techniques in order to advance their brewing careers as well as individuals planning to enter the brewing industry.
The John G. Doble III Memorial Scholarship
The Florida Brewers Guild has teamed up with the Siebel Institute of Technology to provide a full tuition scholarship each year for the World Brewing Academy Concise Course in Brewing Technology held each fall in Chicago. Eligibility requirements for the scholarship are listed below. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of financial and technical need of both the brewer and the brewery.
The Selection Committee is comprised of members from the Florida Brewers Guild. The Selection Committee reserves the right to not award this scholarship. The recipient of the Scholarship will have responsibility for all other costs.
The Glen Hay Falconer Foundation Brewing Scholarship
In collaboration with the Siebel Institute of Technology, the Glen Hay Falconer Foundation is offering two full-tuition brewing education scholarships in 2013.
One scholarship is for the World Brewing Academy Concise Course in Brewing Technology in Chicago in October/November 2013. The Concise Course in Brewing Technology is a two-week intensive program that covers every topic critical to successful brewery operations. The program is designed for brewers pursuing a wider knowledge of professional brewing standards and techniques in order to advance their brewing careers as well as individuals planning to enter the brewing industry. The Concise Course scholarship includes a $1,000 stipend to help offset travel and lodging expenses.
The second scholarship is for the World Brewing Academy International Diploma Course running from September to November 2013 at Siebel’s Chicago and Munich campuses. The International Diploma course is a 12-week comprehensive course intended for brewers seeking an in-depth understanding of the technical aspects and practical application of brewing science and technology. The International Diploma Course scholarship includes a stipend of up to $5,000 to help offset travel and lodging expenses.
Applicants must be from the states Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, California, Alaska, and Hawaii.
The full application must be received no later than March 25, 2013.
